intention."
kynd started in 2020 as a search for something better. Five years later, the search is over.
I couldn't find a body butter that smelled genuinely luxurious without also smelling like everyone else's. The ones that smelled incredible were either $80 a jar or filled with ingredients I couldn't pronounce. So I started making my own.
That was 2020. It took five years of testing, reformulating, and learning the difference between a good formula and an extraordinary one. kynd is what happened when I stopped settling.
Every formula starts with a feeling — a moment, a place, a mood. Then we reverse-engineer the fragrance and formulation to match it. Clean Slate isn't just "clean and powdery." It's the specific feeling of 6am on a Sunday when nothing has happened yet.
We use ingredients that belong in niche perfumery — squalane, tiare flower, orris root, cashmeran, ambroxan. These aren't marketing words. They're what makes the difference between a body butter that smells nice and one that stops people mid-sentence.
Every batch is made by hand in small quantities. This isn't a limitation — it's the point. Small batches mean fresher product, tighter quality control, and the kind of care that doesn't scale.
When a batch sells out, it's gone until we make more. That's not scarcity marketing. That's just how it works.
